Welcome!
Caitlin Hale is the general music teacher at Dr. Maude A. Sanders Primary School in Peoria, Illinois. Mrs. Hale has been teaching for three years at Dr. Maude A. Sanders, helping students learn a love of song and dance through literature and the American folk tradition. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Hale loves to spend time with her husband and two cats at their home in Normal, Illinois.
Orff Schulwerk is one of Mrs. Hale’s many musical passions, and she will complete her certification in Orff during the summer of 2021 at the University of Kentucky. Her love of Orff and teaching has led her to apply for numerous grants, and has received awards from PNC First, the Peoria Public Schools Foundation, and the Maggie Bertram Foundation, which have allowed her to develop a diverse instrumentarium for her students to learn with and enjoy.
Mrs. Hale is currently completing her Master of Music Education with a focus in Educational Technologies from Illinois State University, and previously earned her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Louisville. She has also studied at the University of Kentucky Summer Orff-Schulwerk institute, and has been fortunate to work with Orff practitioners such as Rob Amchin, Jay Broeker, Betsy Kipperman-Sebring, John Barnes, and Sarah Richardson.
Mrs. Hale is a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and the Heart of Illinois Orff chapter.
